The Buffalo Bills are down to the next two men on their running back depth chart after losing Fred Jackson and C.J. Spiller in Week 7. Spiller has a broken collarbone and is on injured reserve with a designation to return, while Jackson is out at least a month with a groin injury.
Fantasy football start/sit advice, Week 8: Bryce Brown
Bryce Brown has a chance to win the starting job with Fred Jackson and C.J. Spiller out, but Anthony Dixon’s presence makes for a confusion fantasy situation.

That leaves it down to Bryce Brown and Anthony Dixon to carry the load. The Bills acquired Brown from the Philadelphia Eagles with a fourth-round pick before the season. He did a decent job filling in for an injured LeSean McCoy in 2012, rushing for 564 yards and four touchdowns on 4.9 yards per carry. Brown played a backup role in 2013 before the Eagles acquired Darren Sproles and shipped him off.
Dixon is a 27-year-old journeyman who spent four years backing up Frank Gore with the San Francisco 49ers. With Brown inactive in Week 7, Dixon recorded 66 total yards on 16 touches.
Fantasy impact: Brown is the most talented back, but Dixon worked with the first team in practice and expects to be the feature back against the New York Jets in Week 8. Reading the tea leaves, we'd expect the Bills to use both in a committee, similar to the way they utilized Jackson and Spiller. Both players need to be owned in 12-team leagues, but they'll have a tough matchup with the Jets' run defense. Neither player is a must-start until we see how the Bills use them first.
