The newest weapon for the New York Jets and company comes in the form of Percy Harvin, who will make his debut for Gang Green on Sunday versus the Buffalo Bills.
Fantasy football start/sit advice Week 8: Percy Harvin
The New York Jets made a shrewd move before the deadline and acquired Harvin from the Seahawks. Can he contribute immediately in The Big Apple? We break down the fantasy implications.

Long term, Harvin will be a moveable chess piece for Marty Mornhinweg’s offense, but in the short term he won’t approach his full potential. Learning a new playbook on the fly will limit his snaps, and he’ll ultimately be used for just a few packages and special teams.
Fantasy Spin: Speaking Wednesday, Coach Rex Ryan noted that it's "unrealistic" for Harvin to spend an extensive amount of time on the field after having just 11 days to digest a new playbook. Every player is different, but fantasy owners saw the struggles of absorbing a new playbook mid-season when Trent Richardson was traded from Cleveland to Indianapolis in 2013.
That isn’t to say Harvin will disappoint in his new destination, but that it will take time for him to get up to speed. Keep Harvin stashed on the bench for Week 9 and expect his role to gradually grow as the season progresses.
