Despite a promising start to the season, Cordarrelle Patterson has disappointed fantasy owners ever since.
Fantasy football start/sit advice Week 8: Cordarrelle Patterson
The Minnesota Vikings have an electric, but underutilized playmaker in Cordarrelle Patterson. Could this be a long-awaited breakout week? We break down the fantasy implications.

Since totaling 128 yards and a touchdown in Week 1, Patterson has caught just 16 passes for 177 yards in six games since. Though he found the end zone in Week 7 he totaled just 12 yards otherwise.
Fantasy Spin: It’s an infuriatingly low amount of involvement for such a dynamic player, and fantasy owners are rightfully panicking. Patterson has since been relegated to fantasy benches across the spectrum, but owners should take a second look at him this week with a promising matchup on the horizon.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have been horrendous in coverage this season, allowing opposing wide receivers to score more points versus them than any other team on a per-game basis. They've been more than susceptible to allowing big plays, and if there's one thing Patterson can do, it's break a long one.
Patterson will be far from a safe option this week, but enough potential exists for him to deserve flex consideration in standard-scoring leagues. There isn’t a better opponent for which he could ask.
