Minnesota Vikings running back Jerick McKinnon has finally been freed. The Vikings were leaning in Matt Asiata's direction earlier in the year, but they have turned to the much more talented McKinnon.
Fantasy football start/sit advice, Week 8: Jerick McKinnon
McKinnon has a nice matchup this week. Should fantasy owners take advantage of it?

Last week, he has 103 rushing yards against one of the very best run defenses in the NFL, the Buffalo Bills. McKinnon boasts a 5.2 yards per carry thanks to a slightly above-average offensive line, which is starting to come together. He out-carried Asiata 21-7 last week and has been on the field a lot more, too.
This week, he'll get a much easier matchup against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. They're the eighth-worst defense in rushing yards per game and haven't even had many tough matchups. They are also dead last against the pass, so McKinnon should contribute in that area, as well.
Fantasy impact: If you were savvy enough to add him, you’re going to want to throw him into your lineup this week as an RB2 in even 10-team leagues. McKinnon could have a breakout day.
