Fantasy football projections, Week 8: Jets-Bills featuring Percy Harvin, Anthony Dixon and Sammy Watkins
The Week 8 matchup between the New York Jets and the Buffalo Bills is Sunday. We’ve got the fantasy projections for you courtesy of numberFire.

New York Jets
Wide receiver Percy Harvin hasn't had the season he and his fantasy owners thought he would when they selected him in the top half of fantasy drafts this season. One of the game's most dynamic players, Harvin only had one touchdown with the Seattle Seahawks, one that came on a rushing attempt. Now he finds himself getting ready to suit up for the Jets after being acquired in a trade last week. While he instantly becomes the team's most potent weapon, Harvin is expected to see limited snaps in his Jets debut.
That likely means a busy day for running back Chris Ivory, who has clearly outplayed teammate Chris Johnson throughout the first half of the season. Ivory had his second 100-yard game of the season against the New England Patriots last week and will face a Bills defense that gave up 100-plus yards to Minnesota Vikings rookie Jerrick McKinnon last week. Of all Jets players suiting up on Sunday, Ivory is the only definitive must-start player for fantasy purposes.
Buffalo Bills
Last week was a tough one for any starting running back in a Bills uniform. Both Fred Jackson (groin) and C.J. Spiller (collarbone) went down with injuries against the Vikings, which means Anthony Dixon and Bryce Brown will be counted on to lead the team out of the backfield for the foreseeable future. Dixon worked as the starter in practice throughout the week, so he's expected to see the lion's share of the carries in Week 8.
No matter how the combination of Dixon and Brown performs on Sunday, there's no question that the bulk of the Bills' offensive output will rely on rookie wide receiver Sammy Watkins. Watkins had the best game of his young career against the Vikings. He caught 9 passes for 122 yards and a pair of touchdowns, including a late score that won the game. Watkins is in for a ton of targets this Sunday despite dealing with a minor groin injury. He's a good bet to be the top fantasy performer on either team this week.
