Philadelphia Eagles
Week 8 might be the week that makes or breaks the confidence of fantasy owners who have witnessed the trials and tribulations of running back LeSean McCoy. McCoy was likely selected with the first overall pick by many of his owners and yet, it took him until Week 6 to break through the 100-yard rushing mark. The Cardinals have a stout defense, but the Eagles still give McCoy a lot of touches. Whether he's able to turn that into his second straight 100-yard rushing game remains to be seen.
When quarterback Nick Foles does decide to throw the ball, wide receiver Jeremy Maclin will be the most likely recipient. Maclin was surprisingly unable to gain any traction in the game that saw the Eagles beat the New York Giants 27-0, but his totals in the game are likely just an anomaly. He should get right back on track against the Cardinals, who actually give up the sixth-most fantasy points to wide receivers this season.
Arizona Cardinals
The Cardinals have to be happy to have quarterback Carson Palmer back under center. He threw for 253 yards and two touchdowns in the wind over the Oakland Raiders in Week 7 and should be able to do more of the same against the Eagles, a team with a relatively weak secondary. Although Palmer hasn't played much this season, he is in for a tasty matchup in Week 8 that could see him eclipse 300 passing yards for the second time this season.
When the Cardinals decide to run the ball, it will be handed off to running back Andre Ellington. Although Ellington has yet to eclipse 100 yards rushing in a single week this season, he has proven to be rather effective in the passing game as well, which evens out his fantasy value, especially in PPR leagues. Ellington faces a relatively friendly Eagles rush defense, and he should be able to rack up a respectable yardage total from scrimmage as a result in Week 8. Fantasy owners can start him in their lineups as they normally would.
