Fantasy football Week 8 projections: Raiders-Browns featuring Darren McFadden, Andrew Hawkins and Ben Tate
We break down the Week 8 matchup between the Oakland Raiders and the Cleveland Browns.

Oakland Raiders
After disappearing off the face of the fantasy planet for weeks, running back Darren McFadden looks to be in the Raiders' offensive plans consistently moving forward. McFadden touched the ball 18 times for 55 total yards and a touchdown last week against the Arizona Cardinals. While his best days are likely behind him now that he's been made for quite a number of years, he still holds appeal and PPR leagues and could produce a solid fantasy day against the Browns in Week 8.
When quarterback Derek Carr does decide to go down the field, veteran James Jones will look to make something happen. Jones caught just four passes for 35 yards last week against the Cardinals and he will likely be in tough again against the Browns. That said, he is seeing a healthy number of targets this season, so he just may be able to cash in on some of those looks and have a surprisingly good day for his fantasy owners.
Cleveland Browns
Wide receiver Andrew Hawkins put together an absolute dud performance against the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 6. It was only targeted twice in the game and did not catch either one of those targets. Luckily for his fantasy owners, Hawkins was able to bounce back last week and catch five passes for 112 yards receiving marking the first time this year that he has been able to eclipse the 100-yard mark. Hawkins should be able to follow up his best game of the season with another strong performance against the Raiders in Week 8.
If he is able to do that, but there will likely be more running room for running back Ben Tate to work with. They only managed 36 yards rushing on 18 carries last week against the Jacksonville Jaguars. It was a surprising result but injuries to the Browns' offensive line should take some of the blame on Tate's behalf. The running backs seemed to get a heavy workload as soon as he came back from injury and there's no reason the Browns will shy away from running the ball moving forward, which is to the benefit of Tate's fantasy owners.
