Fantasy football projections, Week 8: Packers-Saints featuring Aaron Rodgers, Jordy Nelson and Drew Brees
We break down the Week 8 matchup between Green Bay and New Orleans.

Green Bay Packers
Quarterback Aaron Rodgers and the Packers walked all over the Carolina Panthers at home in Week 7. Rodgers staked his team to a 21-0 by the time the first quarter came to an end. It would have been a monster fantasy day for Rodgers and his owners, but of course with the team up huge in the second half, A-Rod was rested and didn't have to finish the game. As much as the Saints have been a subpar team this year, that scenario is unlikely to occur against an equally potent offense in Week 8.
A shootout between Rodgers and Drew Brees likely means another big-time fantasy performance from wide receiver Jordy Nelson, who scored his sixth touchdown of the season last week and now has scores in each of the last four games. Again, the Packers didn't need him to be at his best considering they were blowing away the Panthers in Week 7 so his numbers aren't exactly representative of what he could've done. The Saints secondary unit is one of the worst in the NFL, so Nelson could easily find himself in the end zone for the fifth week in a row.
New Orleans Saints
No matter what quarterback Drew Brees does, it seems that this just isn't the Saints' year. He almost beat a very good Detroit Lions defense in Week 7, only to throw a late fourth-quarter interception that would alternately cost his team the game. Brees' fantasy stats were solid though. He threw for 342 yards and two touchdowns, putting up the yardage totals fantasy owners are used to seeing. He will do more of the same against the Packers and is a must-start in a game that will likely be a shootout.
Of course any monster production from the Saints quarterback will likely mean a big day for tight end Jimmy Graham. Graham saw limited action last week against the Lions and was only targeted twice in the game. Overall he's been overtaken as the best fantasy tight end in football this year by Julius Thomas of the Denver Broncos. The Saints simply haven't done as well as the team this year as they have in the past and is having a trickle-down effect on Graham. That said, he should be in for a big day against the Packers because the Saints are going to need it if they're going to keep up.
