Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce has been a hit or miss play throughout the season. Talent is not the issue. He has shown an ability to make plays when he gets the ball. What has limited his upside is the fact that he's stuck behind Anthony Fasano on the depth chart and he isn't targeted on a consistent basis. He's in the same situation as talented Philadelphia Eagles tight end Zach Ertz, who is stuck behind Brent Celek. Kelce has found the end zone three times in his last four games but has only had more than 36 yards receiving in one of those matchups.
Fantasy start/sit advice, Week 8: Travis Kelce remains a boom-or-bust TE play
Travis Kelce has struggled for consistency. Can he bounce back in Week 8?

Fantasy Impact: The Chiefs will take on the St. Louis Rams and their defense that gives up the 10th fewest points to opposing tight ends. Kelce will have his work cut out for him, but he'll remain a viable starting option. He's a high-risk, high-reward TE1 play. Owners relying on the tight end position for production may want to look at other options before plugging Kelce into their starting lineups.
