Chicago Bears tight end Martellus Bennett has always had a habit of starting the season red-hot and then returning to Earth by the middle of the season. This year has been no exception. Bennett caught four touchdowns in his first three games, then dropped a 9/134 line in Week 4. However, he hasn't found the end zone since and hasn't topped 58 yards receiving in any of his last three games. The same goes for his receptions -- he averaged over seven catches per game in the first four weeks, but that figure has slipped to four catches per game in his last three contests.
Fantasy start/sit advice, Week 8: Martellus Bennett a decent TE play
Martellus Bennett has struggled to sustain his early-season production. Can he find it in Week 8?

Fantasy Impact: Bennett hasn't fallen off the TE1 map, but owners expecting him to return to his early-season production could be waiting a while. The Bears take on the New England Patriots, whose defense is right in the middle of the pack with respect to fantasy points allowed to opposing tight ends. Wide receiver Brandon Marshall will likely be shadowed by cornerback Darrelle Revis, which should result in more targets for Bennett. He's a mid-range TE1 option.
