Trent Richardson has finally seen some improvement as an Indianapolis Colt, but his progression could get halted a bit on Sunday. Richardson missed practice all week leading up to Sunday's game against the Pittsburgh Steelers as he nursed a hamstring injury and it now appears that the Colts might rest him.
Trent Richardson injury update: Colts RB may be sitting vs. Steelers, fantasy owners should have other options ready
Trent Richardson’s hamstring injury may cost him Week 8. We take a look at the fantasy implications.

re: Trent Richardson. I might've been wrong. #Colts seem to be leaning toward sitting starting running back today w hamstring strain. #Colts
— Stephen Holder (@HolderStephen) October 26, 2014 If Richardson sits, Ahmad Bradshaw and Daniel "Boom" Herron will likely see their workloads increase.
Fantasy impact: Richardson was finally embracing some fantasy relevancy this season, so the news is certainly discouraging for fantasy owners. The Colts have enough talent in their backfield that they can afford resting Richardson back to 100 percent health, but Indianapolis faces the Steelers in a late afternoon game, so it leaves many fantasy owners with the need to decide on a backup plan early if Richardson becomes a game-time decision. Based on reports, we’d recommend using other options early if needed.
