If you scored a touchdown for Kansas City Sunday, you were a running back. The team got four touchdowns from its running backs and none from anyone else in a convincing 34-7 win over the St. Louis Rams.
Jamaal Charles, Knile Davis each score twice for fantasy owners in big Chiefs win
The two running backs accounted for all four Kansas City touchdowns Sunday. We break down the fantasy implications.

The Chiefs fell behind 7-0 early in the game, but scored all the points after that en route to a big win. At 4-3, the Chiefs now have the same number of losses as division rival San Diego, with both battling for second place in the AFC West behind Denver.
Let’s take a look at the fantasy performances:
Alex Smith: With all the offensive production coming on the ground for Kansas City, Smith was quiet Sunday, offering a season-low seven fantasy points. Smith had 226 yards on 24-of-28 passing, adding 24 rushing yards and losing a fumble. Until the team leans more heavily on its passing game, it's hard to expect Smith to be anything more than a low-end QB2.
Jamaal Charles: The star running back had his most yards from scrimmage in a game all season, with 73 rushing and 44 receiving yards in the game. Charles also scored twice on the ground, with a 1-yard score in the second quarter and a 36-yarder in the fourth. He remains one of the game's top running backs.
Knile Davis: It remains true that Davis' week-to-week fantasy value with Charles on the field is low. He did score two touchdowns Sunday, though one was on a 99-yard kick return to start the second half and the second was on a 3-yard rush late in the game. In other words, a fluke play and a score when Charles had been shut down to protect him. It was a good game for Davis, but there's not much else to take away from it. He's still just a handcuff.
Dwayne Bowe: Bowe remains a big name, but that's about it. He has yet to score a touchdown or go for 90-plus yards in six games this season, and Sunday's 64 yards marked his third-highest total. Bowe is the Chiefs' top receiver, and did catch all six of his targets Sunday, but for fantasy he has almost no upside.
Travis Kelce: The tight end remains tantalizingly close to big fantasy production, but the continued presence of Anthony Fasano keeps him limited, since the Chiefs don't typically deploy Kelce unless they're in a two-TE set. Kelce had four catches on six targets for 45 yards Sunday, his second straight disappointing fantasy game after a hot stretch from Weeks 2-5. He's on the cusp of fantasy startability, though he could be on either side of the line.
