The Dallas Cowboys entered Monday Night Football a surprising 6-1, but were unable to secure a victory over division rival Washington. This game was a classic though, as backups Colt McCoy and Brandon Weeden played very well in the second half. Weeden replaced the injured Tony Romo who left midway through the third quarter quarterback but returned late in the fourth.

The Dallas Cowboys lost Tony Romo for most of the second half but got him back in time to take it to overtime against Washington on Monday Night Football. The Romo led Cowboys unfortunately were unable to secure the victory. We bring you the fantasy implications here.
Romo made a surprising comeback and led the Cowboys into the overtime period. He was unable to put the Cowboys in a position to to keep the game alive as Washington scored on their first possession. It was a surprising return for Romo and a decision that is sure to be second guessed in the days to come.
Let’s take a look at the fantasy numbers.
Tony Romo: Romo was playing very well before he took a hit to the back that sent him to the locker room. He eventually got back into the game late in the fourth quarter, but he was not the same player when he returned. His health should be monitored this week as Dallas will face the Arizona Cardinals and their excellent defense in Week 9. Romo finished 17 of 28 for 209 yards and a touchdown. He took five sacks as well.
DeMarco Murray: The fumbles are concerning as Murray lost one on Monday night, but he also recovered two coughed up by his teammates. Otherwise, Murray was outstanding and led the Cowboys in both rushing and receiving. Murray finished with 19 carries for 141 yards while catching four passes for 80 yards. Murray is having an outstanding season and should remain a must start across all fantasy leagues if he continues to stay healthy.
Dez Bryant: Bryant's numbers weren't outstanding but he made a superb catch on a 5-yard pass from Romo to give Dallas the lead in the second quarter. Bryant is on target for over 1,300 receiving yards this year and has four receiving touchdowns. He will remain a must start even if the Cowboys are forced to start Brandon Weeden. The talent is simply too good to put on the bench.
Jason Witten: Witten doesn't seem to age and is the epitome of the every down tight end in the NFL. The Cowboys veteran tight end was the most targeted receiver of their night with eight targets. He finished with five receptions for 70 yards and a touchdown. The elder statesman is still getting it done and should remain a solid start across most fantasy leagues. However, he does only have two receiving touchdowns on the season.
