Philadelphia Eagles running back Darren Sproles "appears ready to return" to the team, according to Zach Berman of Philly.com. Sproles is dealing with a knee injury that forced him out of Philadelphia's Week 8 game against the Arizona Cardinals. Sproles sustained the injury against the New York Giants in Week 6, but had a week to rest with Philadelphia's Week 7 bye.
Darren Sproles likely to return in Week 9; fantasy value iffy
Darren Sproles looks ready to return from his knee injury. We break down the fantasy implications.

He was a limited participant in practice leading up to the missed game against the Cardinals, a game the Eagles lost by four points. This week, Sproles has been a full participant in practice thus far and seem like a good bet to play in the team's Week 9 game against the Houston Texans. That said, he'll likely shoulder a limited workload and is obviously behind LeSean McCoy.
Fantasy Impact: Sproles always has some kind of fantasy value. The difficult thing is predicting how much of an impact he’ll have on the offense or even how many touches he’ll get. He’s dangerous when he has the ball, but he’s not a smart bet for a full workload this week. Fantasy owners should probably keep him on the sidelines for this one until a pattern of consistency develops.
