San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick has shown steady improvement in his third season as the team's starter. Through four games, Kaepernick is on pace to finish the year with 3,648 yards passing at a 66.9 percent completion rate and 24 touchdowns. He hasn't found the end zone on the ground yet. However, he ran for nine touchdowns in his first two starting seasons so there's no reason not to expect him to pick up his pace.
Fantasy football start/sit advice, Week 5: Colin Kaepernick worth the start
Colin Kaepernick is off to a decent start. Can he build on his numbers in Week 5?

Fantasy Impact: Kaepernick may be a long shot to finish the season in the top five but he's more than capable of giving owners a gem line in any given week. He will likely be without tight end Vernon Davis but Kaepernick has plenty of other legitimate options in Michael Crabtree, Anquan Boldin and Stevie Johnson. He takes on the Kansas City Chiefs and their middle-of-the-pack secondary. Owners who have him as their top quarterback option shouldn't think twice about starting him.
