DeAngelo Williams and Jonathan Stewart are officially inactive for Sunday's game against the Chicago Bears. The Carolina Panthers will have to rely on Darrin Reaves, Chris Ogbonnaya and Fozzy Whittaker out of the backfield. Reaves is getting first opportunities however. The Chicago Bears have been mediocre against running backs. Reaves had 12 carries for just 26 yards against the Baltimore Ravens in Week 4.
Fantasy football injury update: Darrin Reaves gets the start with DeAngelo Williams and Jonathan Stewart officially inactive
DeAngelo Williams and Jonathan Stewart are officially inactive Sunday vs. the Colts. Darrin Reaves gets the nod at running back.

Fantasy impact: It’s difficult to put a lot of faith into an unproven running back especially when we’re dealing with the Panthers running game. Coach Ron Rivera has already indicated he will take a “hot hand” approach between his three available backs, and the Panthers have rarely produced outstanding numbers for any single player out of the backfield over the past several years. However, the unknown can also be exciting. Everyone wants to strike the lottery with a breakout performance, and the Bears are a team that could allow it to happen. Regardless, Reaves is a flex option for desperate owners that are slim at the position.
