Matt Forte posts huge fantasy numbers in Week 5
Forte struggle a bit running the ball, but he was the Bears’ leading receiver on Sunday. We break down the fantasy implications.

While Forte only averaged 3.6 yards per rushing attempt, he made a huge impact in the receiving game, outpacing Alshon Jeffery and Brandon Marshall while Cutler continued to check down. He did lose a fumble, though, in the fourth quarter that led to the Panthers taking the lead.
Fantasy impact: The fumble was unfortunate, but it won’t have any impact on Forte’s workload going forward. His versatility once again proved to be a huge asset, and his 12 catches were a career-high for the 28-year-old.
Forte is on pace to catch 115 passes in 2014. Next week he faces an Atlanta Falcons defense that hemorrhages fantasy points to opposing running backs. Forte is locked in as one of the top running backs to own.
