Kelvin Benjamin caught just three passes for 38 yards in Week 5 against the Chicago Bears. He was targeted a team-high 11 times by Cam Newton, but the rookie wide receiver dropped several passes again.
Kelvin Benjamin puts up a fantasy dud in Week 5
The rookie wide receiver had a tough time on Sunday against the Bears. We break down the fantasy implications.

Benjamin lost a fumble and also failed to locate what would have been a touchdown in the second quarter. He’s a favorite target for Newton, but the duo continues to ride a roller coaster in terms of production.
Fantasy impact: There will never be a lack of targets for the Panthers' towering No. 1 wideout. Newton has no problem looking for Benjamin often. Unfortunately the rookie is still a work in progress. His drops and Newton's overthrows made for a dud of a day in Week 5.
Through five games Benjamin has posted three double-digit fantasy lines. Weeks 2 and 5 were disappointing, combing for five receptions between the two starts. He reminds a WR2 with upside, but fantasy owners should be ready for volatility.
