Pierre Thomas explodes back onto fantasy scene in Week 5
After a terrible game in Week 4, Thomas was a bright spot in the Saints offense on Sunday. We break down the fantasy implications.

Last week Thomas finished with 23 total yards. He set season-highs in rush yards, receiving yards and receptions in Week 5. Jimmy Graham left the game with an injury on Sunday, leaving Thomas to see an expanded role.
Fantasy impact: If you own Thomas, you’re likely going to deal with some disappointing weeks here and there. That’s just what happens for running backs in the Saints offense. Thomas typically provides a decent amount of value, though, as he is a great target out of the backfield for Drew Brees.
The Saints are on a bye in Week 6, so unfortunately Thomas can’t capitalize off this momentum. Graham should also be ready to go in Week 7 with extra time off. That still leaves Thomas as a solid flex play.
