Fantasy football waiver wire, Week 11: Jordan Matthews soars for Eagles
Philadelphia Eagles rookie wide receiver Jordan Matthews is looking like a legitimate No. 2 option in Philadelphia right now, after putting up 138 receiving yards and two touchdowns on “Monday Night Football.”

Matthews' breakout game shows what the young wide receiver can do given the right circumstances and opportunities. Jeremy Maclin saw a lot of attention from the Panthers secondary, leaving Matthews wide open on several occasions. Sanchez and Matthews took advantage of the opportunity and already looked in sync with one another.
Fantasy impact: There is a lot of talent on the Eagles offense but Matthews brings great size and really nice hands to the group. He scored his second touchdown of the game at 11:43 in the fourth quarter when the game was safely out of hand at 38-7 -- it was garbage time, but the obvious connection between Sanchez and Matthews bodes well for the upcoming weeks.
As a rookie receiver, Matthews' numbers have understandably fluctuated. However, a lot of what a receiver does depends on comfort level and timing with his quarterback. Jeremy Maclin won't always be the forgotten guy, but Matthews is proving he is worthy of a fantasy roster spot even if he isn't always going to be a must-start option.
