Raiders-Chargers fantasy projections featuring Derek Carr, Philip Rivers, Ryan Mathews
We break down the Week 11 matchup between the Oakland Raiders and the San Diego Chargers.

Oakland Raiders
Let's be honest, the Oakland Raiders should already be looking toward 2015. The current roster doesn't exactly fill out most people's fantasy lineups. That said, fantasy owners in deeper leagues who need a wide receiver can no longer count on Andre Holmes in Oakland, as what appeared to be a breakout game a few weeks ago hasn't translated into anything much since. That leaves veteran James Jones in the team's receiving corps. Jones set an NFL record last week by catching eight passes for a grand total of just 20 yards. Jones should surpass that yardage total against the Chargers, and he would be the best bet to score a touchdown for the silver and black this week.
That all depends on rookie quarterback Derek Carr, of course. Carr has demonstrated some potential this season, specifically in Week 6 against the Chargers, a game in which he threw a career-high four touchdown passes. In the last two games, however, the rookie has matched his four touchdown passes with four interceptions and failed to really move the ball down the field consistently. If the Raiders are to win their first game of the season in Week 11, he'll need to do better.
San Diego Chargers
After looking like the NFL MVP in the first half of the season, Philip Rivers and the gang have struggled to make things work over the last three weeks, losing every one of those games. Last week's effort against the Miami Dolphins was particularly atrocious for Rivers. He threw three interceptions in the contest and ended with a negative point total in most fantasy formats. Of course, Oakland's defense doesn't exactly compare to that of the Dolphins, but Rivers will need to start figuring things out in a hurry before it starts costing his fantasy owners games.
On the bright side, Rivers will have one of his most reliable weapons back from injury against Oakland. Running back Ryan Mathews has missed the team's last seven games due to a sprained MCL. While Branden Oliver did OK in Mathews' absence for a while, the more seasoned veteran should give the Chargers' offense a jolt. Hopefully it translates into massive fantasy points for owners who held onto him through those seven weeks.
