San Francisco 49ers tight end Vernon Davis has struggled in the passing game this season. Davis is one of the most athletic tight ends in the league and has been a matchup nightmare since he was drafted in 2006. In recent seasons, he's established himself as one of the top receiving options in the league, but he hasn't done much at all this year.
Fantasy football start/sit advice, Week 11: Vernon Davis
Vernon Davis has struggled big-time this season. We break down the fantasy implications.

Appearing in seven games this season, Davis has just 17 receptions for 169 yards and two touchdowns. That’s a pathetically low number, and there’s not really any explanation for it. Davis has been banged up here and there, but nothing particularly extensive. He’s playing a lot and he’s blocking well, but he’s not seeing that many targets, and when he is he’s dropping the ball or making other mistakes.
Fantasy Impact: Back before the season started, if you told us that we'd be recommending you drop Vernon Davis at any point then we'd have laughed in your face. But at this point, Davis is just not producing and there's little reason to expect that to change. He has a favorable matchup against the New York Giants in Week 11, but we're not recommending he get the start.
