Washington head coach Jay Gruden confirmed that Robert Griffin III will remain the starting quarterback, but his subsequent comments were hardly a vote of confidence. Speaking to the media on Monday, Gruden criticized Griffin's mechanics and said that "he had some fundamental flaws" in Sunday's Week 11 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Robert Griffin III remains Washington starter, still has middling fantasy value
Washington is sticking with RGIII despite his struggles in Week 11. We break down the fantasy implications.

Making his second start since coming back from a dislocated ankle, Griffin struggled on Sunday. He threw for just 207 yards on 23-of-32 passing, with one touchdown and two interceptions. Despite his pedigree as a dual threat, Griffin didn’t do much on the ground with just 41 rushing yards on six attempts.
Fantasy impact: Washington isn't about to turn back to Kirk Cousins or Colt McCoy, but Gruden's comments were clearly meant to light a fire under Griffin, who has struggled in the new offense since training camp. The third-year quarterback may very well answer his critics down the stretch, but Griffin's matchup doesn't get any easier in Week 12. He will face a San Francisco 49ers defense that just picked off Eli Manning five times. With the bye weeks winding down, Griffin can't be trusted as anything more than a high-end QB2 for the fantasy playoffs.
