Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Doug Martin was at practice once again on Wednesday. Martin is rounding back into health after missing the past three games with an ankle injury and should be back for Sunday's Week 12 game against the Chicago Bears.
Doug Martin practicing on Wednesday, fantasy role still unclear
Martin practiced Wednesday and is on track to make his return in Week 12. We break down the fantasy implications.

Where Martin fits into the offense is still unclear. He's been a massive disappointment in his third season, rushing for just 166 yards and one touchdown in five games while averaging 2.9 yards per carry. He was losing snaps to Bobby Rainey before getting injured, while rookie Charles Sims is in the mix after making his season debut in Week 10.
Fantasy impact: Neither Rainey nor Sims have really emerged as a feature back, so there’s an outside chance the Bucs give Martin another look. Regardless, this is a fantasy situation to avoid entirely, even against the Bears’ miserable defense. Martin hasn’t been worth stashing for more than a month now and Rainey offers little upside. Sims is a worthy dynasty hold, but risky flex play in re-draft leagues.
