With four of the top 12 quarterbacks on bye this week, pickings are slim when it comes to your starter. If you planned on this, great. If not, welcome to the club. Having said that, here are a few names that should garner your attention immediately.
Fantasy football sleepers, Week 9: Quarterbacks
Your starting quarterback on bye? Welcome to the party. In that case, here are a few names that should help you get a win in Week 9.

Carson Palmer - I thought this went without saying, but apparently he hasn't universally creeped into the top 10 just yet. The Dallas Cowboys may only be allowing 237 passing yards per game, but they're still yielding both 7.1 yards per play all the while defending very few attempts of 20+ yards. Furthermore, their 19th ranked Defensive DVOA suggests the team is bending, waiting for an inevitable break. With Palmer averaging 7.4 yards per attempt, look for the Cowboys to be legitimately tested down the field for the first time this season. Palmer should be considered a QB1 no matter what scoring format your league succumbs to.
Ryan Fitzpatrick - Fitzpatrick might not be your first choice as it pertains potential bye week fillers, but his matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles suggests otherwise. The Eagles are allowing a 5/1 TD/INT ratio to opposing quarterbacks, leaving very little downside to the opportunities Fitzpatrick will certainly see. Arian Foster might continue to lead the offense, but a 250 yard, 2 TD day could be in store for the QB most likely on your waivers.
Alex Smith - By now, you know the New York Jets secondary is bad. Just how bad, however, is where Smith comes in. I'm not sure who on the supporting cast helps him get there, but the Jets have given up five more touchdowns through the air than any other defense in the league. Consider Smith just outside the top 10 and a great play for all daily leaguers.
