Oakland Raiders wide receiver Andre Holmes has emerged as the team's top receiving option. He would be in a much better position on a more developed offense, but Oakland's lack of stability forces owners to think long and hard before inserting Holmes into their starting lineups. Holmes has been able to find success in recent weeks; over the last four games, the undrafted Hillsdale product has hauled in 17 passes for 298 yards and four touchdowns. Three productive outings in the stretch were accompanied by a 3/34/0 line in Week 7, and Holmes was completely off the fantasy radar in the first three weeks.
Fantasy start/sit advice, Week 9: Andre Holmes remains a boom-or-bust fantasy play
The Raiders receiver has been able to find some success in recent weeks. Can he keep the momentum going in Week 9?

Fantasy Impact: Holmes is the classic high-risk, high-reward fantasy play. While he has been more consistent in recent weeks, owners would be getting ahead of themselves in thinking that he's grown into a reliable option. Things won't get any easier for Holmes this week, as the Raiders take on the Seattle Seahawks and their "Legion of Boom" secondary led by shutdown cornerback Richard Sherman. The unit has given up the fifth-fewest fantasy points to opposing wide receivers. Holmes is a low-upside WR4 play this week.
