Fantasy football projections, Week 12: Chiefs-Raiders featuring Jamaal Charles, Travis Kelce and Derek Carr
We break down the Week 12 matchup between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Oakland Raiders.

Kansas City Chiefs
Any Jamaal Charles fantasy owner that was concerned that the superstar rusher hadn't yet posted a 100-yard rushing game going into Week 11 can rest easy. That's because Charles torched the Seattle Seahawks to the tune of 159 yards and two touchdowns on 20 carries. He now has seven touchdowns over the last five weeks and in Week 12 against the Raiders, Charles will be facing a defense that gives up the 10th most fantasy points to running backs. Another multi-touchdown game and yardage total beyond 100 yards is certainly within reach, if not expected.
Given that Sunday's game is expected to be a blowout, there's a good chance the Chiefs won't have to throw the ball very often. But that doesn't mean tight end Travis Kelce isn't going to put in some work. Very few people knew his name at the start of the season, but fantasy owners know who he is now. He's been held to just 56 receiving yards in the last two weeks combined, but he did play on 50 of 52 snaps against the Seahawks and should be a fixture against the Raiders in Week 12.
Oakland Raiders
It's been a rough year to be a member of the Raiders, with the team being 0-10. Part of that has to do with the struggles of rookie quarterback Derek Carr, who completed just 16 passes in Week 11, marking the third time this season he's completed that exact number of throws. Against a San Diego Chargers team that had been struggling for weeks, Carr failed to throw a touchdown pass and racked up just 172 yards. He will certainly have his work cut out for him against the Chiefs in Week 12, and any fantasy owner crazy enough to take a gamble on him will be lucky to see any fantasy production of significance.
The only real source of fantasy production the Raiders have this Sunday is wide receiver James Jones. Jones only caught two passes for 35 yards against the Chargers last week, but considering he was only targeted five times in the game, the results weren’t bad. He’s not going to rack up a ton of yards with the quarterback situation the way it is, but he’s big, physical and reliable when he does get the opportunities. Jones should only be used in deeper leagues, but if you have to use a member of the Raiders in your fantasy lineup, it’s this guy.
