Oakland Raiders quarterback Derek Carr is dealing with a quad injury, and it's limited him in practice this week. He's expected to play Thursday, and the injury might not have a negative effect on his production.
Fantasy football start/sit advice, Week 12: Derek Carr
Is there any reason for fantasy owners to start Derek Carr on a short week?

However, the Kansas City Chiefs defense probably will. The Chiefs have kept quarterbacks in check all season with no quarterback throwing for more than 267 yards in a game this year. Plus, they've allowed only 1.3 passing touchdowns per game since Week 5, and they have been good on the road in ever game except the loss to the Denver Broncos in Week 2.
Carr is not coming in with any sort of momentum after an ugly game of 172 passing yards, one turnover and no touchdowns against the San Diego Chargers in Week 11. One would think the short week isn't going to help him against an aggressive defense.
Fantasy impact: Carr is not even a top-25 quarterback, and you can argue he’s the worst play this week.
