Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce is one of the bright spots on an offense that has little to celebrate. Jamaal Charles has been running well and Alex Smith doesn't turn the ball over much, but beyond that, there's not a whole lot to get excited about on that side of the ball. Travis Kelce has a ton of potential but has yet to break out this season. We break down the fantasy implications.

His playing time has hovered around 65 percent all season, but he saw that spike against the Seattle Seahawks. Unfortunately, it didn't lead to much of a payoff, and he caught just three passes for 37 yards. Smith is simply not a quarterback who throws the ball often, and when he does, he doesn't throw it far. Kelce has a ton of potential just waiting to be released.
Fantasy Impact: He's been a decent, but not great, fantasy option this season. The Chiefs refuse to start him over Anthony Fasano, despite the fact that Kelce is simply better at this stage. Fasano should be back this week as well, so Kelce having a huge game isn't a likely scenario. However, the Chiefs are playing the hapless Raiders, and Kelce is a definite boom-or-bust candidate. He might be worth a start.
