While he was with the Carolina Panthers, there was the occasional buzz about receiver Brandon LaFell. He was a starting receiver with budding quarterback Cam Newton, but nothing came to fruition.
Fantasy football start/sit advice, Week 12: Brandon LaFell
Brandon LaFell has found a home in New England. Should fantasy owners use a guy who was so remarkably inconsistent earlier in his career?

Well, New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady can fix a lot of receivers and he did it with LaFell. Since Week 4, LaFell has cleared the 50-yard plateau in all but one game and he has five TDs in that span. He's getting stronger as the year goes along and Brady is clearly trusting him.
He gets a bad matchup on the surface against the Detroit Lions. They do rank as the third-toughest on the season, but they have given up four TDs to opposing X and Z (outside) receivers in the past four weeks. There is a very decent chance LaFell can get a big play here.
Fantasy impact: There is risk, but the high ceiling makes LaFell a very nice WR2 this week.
