It looks as if the Denver Broncos will be shorthanded Sunday with Julius Thomas’ status in question. We break down the fantasy implications.

Thomas has been dealing with a high-ankle sprain, which subsequently kept him out of practice the entire week. Thomas is officially listed as questionable on the injury report, but his lack of activity throughout the week indicates he is closer to doubtful.
Fantasy Spin: Julius Thomas owners can now join the majority of fantasy owners who have to scrounge for tight-end production. Further compounding matters is the Broncos have the late start time, which could hang owners out to dry if they depend on him playing.
Contingency plans need to be in order for Thomas this week, and his owners would be wise to pick up Jacob Tamme and pray for a touchdown. Worse options could be had during a week that presents very few in the first place.
