It's been several weeks since Tre Mason took over as the St. Louis Rams' primary ball carrier. He's faced a gauntlet of tough run defenses since then. However, Mason is still putting together a solid rookie season. Things will get easier for Mason, beginning with the San Diego Chargers Sunday. In Week 11, Mason rushed for 113 yards on 29 carries. Benny Cunningham saw just two carries on the afternoon. Mason hasn't scored a touchdown since Week 7, but it's only a matter of time with the workload he's been given.

Fantasy impact: The Rams backfield seems more settled than it’s been all season. Not only do the next few weeks get easier for Mason, but the Rams seem to get more confident with him each week. Mason is due for a breakout performance. Whether it happens against the Chargers or not, fantasy owners will want to plug him in as a solid RB2 option moving forward.
