Josh McCown continues to rack up yardage since he returned to the field, but his turnovers cost him on Sunday. McCown threw for 341 yards and a touchdown. If the numbers were left at that, it was far from a bad day for McCown. However, McCown was plagued with ball security issues all afternoon. He threw two interceptions and fumbled the ball twice. He was able to recover one of his fumbles.
Fantasy football waiver wire, Week 13: Josh McCown takes a step back with three turnovers
Josh McCown couldn’t capitalize against Chicago’s struggling defense. We take a look at the fantasy implications for Week 13.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers pretty much abandoned the run late in the game, and McCown ended up with a whopping 48 pass attempts as a result. Considering the Chicago Bears have struggled defensively for most of the season, it was a great opportunity for McCown to post big numbers. He'll now attempt to bounce back against the Cincinnati Bengals, who have been improving defensively each week.
Fantasy impact: Owned in less than 40 percent of leagues, McCown was a great streaming option heading into Week 12. If you take away the turnovers, McCown would have been a solid QB1 for the week. Of course, we have to accept the turnovers. McCown now has eight interceptions through six games.
He’ll likely continue to throw the ball a lot with Tampa Bay’s backfield a mess up to this point. He’s worth eyeing as a streamer for the remainder of the season, but doesn’t demand ownership outside of two-quarterback leagues.
