Things just continue to get worse for Robert Griffin III. Griffin finished Week 12 with 106 passing yards and no score. He lost a fumble for the day as well. Washington's coaching staff opted to emphasize the run against the San Francisco 49ers. As a team, Washington finished with 27 rushing attempts compared to 20 passing attempts. Even with Alfred Morris accumulating 125 rushing yards on 21 attempts, Griffin couldn't make anything happen in the passing game. DeSean Jackson led the team with 39 receiving yards.

Griffin’s career with Washington has been dysfunctional for several years now, and the conservative game plan seemed to limit any opportunity for him to make an argument for his role as starter. He was plagued by a shaky offensive line and couldn’t capitalize when momentum began to shift in Wasington’s favor. It’s only a matter of time before head coach Jay Gruden finally moves on from Griffin.
Fantasy impact: Even if Griffin continues as Washington's starter, he'll have a tough match up against the Indianapolis Colts in Week 13. He's a QB2 at best moving forward, and he could be benched on any given week. Griffin has failed to show any sort of appealing ceiling whatsoever in 2014. Even in deeper leagues, Griffin should be avoided.
With fantasy playoffs quickly approaching, Griffin should be an afterthought in all re-draft leagues.
