Ben Roethlisberger, Antonio Brown take over in fantasy in Steelers Week 9 win

The Steelers have now scored six passing touchdowns for back-to-back weeks. We break down the fantasy implications.

The Pittsburgh Steelers improved to 6-3 with a divisional win over the Baltimore Ravens in Week 9. Ben Roethlisberger threw six touchdown passes again as the Steelers cruised to a 43-23 victory on Sunday.

With another game filled with touchdowns for Pittsburgh, individual numbers were impressive across the board. Let’s take a look at the fantasy performances from Week 9.

Ben Roethlisberger: After throwing six touchdown passes in Week 8, most fantasy owners expected a return to normalcy from Big Ben. That didn't happen as he completed 25 of 37 passes for 340 yards and six touchdowns in Week 9. Roethlisberger is on fire with 12 touchdowns in two weeks. The addition of rookie Martavis Bryant into the offense seems to be opening up even more opportunities for the pass game. Roethlisberger is going to have one-touchdown weeks and he won't face defenses missing their top cornerbacks every game, but he remains a QB1 for Week 10 against the New York Jets.

Le'Veon Bell: Bell failed to break 100 total yards for the first time all season. He rushed for 20 yards on 10 carries and caught five passes for 38 yards and a touchdown. LeGarrette Blount also finished with 10 carries, stealing significant action out of the backfield this time around. Todd Haley might want to cut back on Bell's usage, or he might just hate fantasy football. Either way, Bell remains a high-end RB1 every week.

Antonio Brown: Another ridiculous performance from arguably the best wide receiver in the NFL right now. Brown caught 11 passes for 144 yards and a touchdown on 16 targets against the Ravens. He broke free for a 54-yard touchdown to start the fourth quarter, giving him eight scores on the year. Brown set a career-high with eight touchdowns in 2013. He's on a ridiculous pace and should continue his dominance against the Jets.

Markus Wheaton and Martavis Bryant: Both wide receivers managed to score alongside Brown. Wheaton caught two passes for 62 yards, and Bryant finished his third NFL game with three receptions for 44 yards and two touchdowns. Wheaton saw one more target than the rookie, but Bryant is off to an extremely hot start for Pittsburgh. His size makes him a good red zone option for Roethlisberger.

Heath Miller: He caught one pass for 14 yards. Miller was only targeted two times. After seeing him go off in Week 8, it was expected he would return to his more modest form in Week 9. Miller isn't worth starting unless you're in a deep league. He'll have occasional surges without any consistency.
