Patriots-Packers fantasy projections, Week 13: Shane Vereen, Rob Gronkowski, Eddie Lacy are names to watch
We break down the Week 13 matchup between the New England Patriots and the Green Bay Packers.

New England Patriots
Fantasy owners may not exactly be ecstatic at the fact that quarterback Tom Brady has only thrown two touchdown passes in each of the last two games. Part of that has to do with the fact the coaching staff has gotten the running game going. While it's too bad that he's not throwing three, four or five touchdowns a week these days, make no mistake about it, Brady is still playing some fantasy MVP level football right now. He threw for 349 yards last week against a Detroit Lions defense that looked absolutely stellar prior to playing against the Pats. Green Bay is not shy about giving up points because it scores a lot, too, so Brady should be in for another big week.
That likely means some more fantasy scoring out of tight end Rob Gronkowski. Gronk failed to find the end zone last week, but still managed to post a respectable five catches for 78 yards. He’s a premier tight end with a premier quarterback throwing him the ball, so he could very easily find himself in the end zone on Sunday on more than one occasion, especially if the scoring gets out of hand. Gronk could very well beat his projections by a mile in Week 13.
Green Bay Packers
Going into last week's game against the Minnesota Vikings, there probably wasn't anybody hotter than Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers. Rodgers did cool off a bit against the Vikings. He was limited to just 209 passing yards on 19 completions and two touchdowns. Though it's not in line with the unbelievable performances we've seen from the MVP candidate throughout the course of the season, those totals would still be respectable for most other passers in the league. Rodgers will have his work cut out for him trying to keep up with Brady, but he should be up to the task in Week 13.
A big day for A-Rod means an equally big one for his favorite wide receiver, Jordy Nelson. Nelson caught eight passes for 68 yards last week against the Vikings. While there is a chance that he'll be in for another tough day against the likes of Brandon Browner and Darrelle Revis, one has to think that Rodgers will find a way to get him the ball the matter who's covering him. Fantasy owners should still start Nelson but posting a multi-touchdown game for going over 150 yards might be out of the question this time around. Nevertheless, Nelson should still end the day with respectable totals.
