The Tennessee Titans have placed quarterback Jake Locker on injured reserve, ending his season. Locker suffered another shoulder injury in Sunday's loss to the New York Jets. Charlie Whitehurst will get the start in Thursday's game against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Locker was starting in place of rookie Zach Mettenberger, who has a shoulder injury of his own. He didn't even make it to halftime before getting driven to the turf by Quinton Coples and hurting his shoulder. Locker appeared in seven games this season, throwing for 993 yards, five touchdowns and seven interceptions.
Fantasy impact: A free agent in 2015, Locker has most certainly played his last game in a Titans uniform. He simply cannot stay healthy and made little progress as an NFL quarterback since being the No. 8 pick in the 2011 NFL Draft. Locker will likely catch on as a backup somewhere, but his starting days are probably over.
As for Whitehurst, if you’re thinking about using him outside of two-quarterback leagues, you’re probably not in the fantasy playoffs anyway. He’s not a viable option on a short week against an underrated Jaguars defense.
