St. Louis Rams running back Tre Mason was shut down in big way last week. He had 13 carries for 33 rushing yards and one lost fumble, so he only accounted for one fantasy point. That did come against the Arizona Cardinals, who have dominated against the run all season. In other words, he gets a pass.
Fantasy football start/sit advice, Week 16: Tre Mason is featured
Tre Mason has the every-down role, so should his fantasy owners use him?

Things get a lot easier this week against the New York Giants. The Giants are the 10th-easiest matchup for fantasy running backs and the Rams will get to face them at home in the dome. Washington had success against them last week in the passing game, but the Giants have actually fared well against the run this month. However, their last three matchups have been against Washington, the Tennessee Titans and Jacksonville Jaguars. In case you missed Thursday Night Football this week, those last two are not exactly offensive powerhouses.
Fantasy impact: Mason should be locked and loaded with a featured role and figures to flirt with being a top-10 back. Start him.
