Fantasy football waiver wire: 4 quarterbacks to target for Week 17

Is your fantasy league still playing in Week 17? Here are some wire quarterbacks who could help out.

Brad Mills-USA TODAY Sports

Fantasy football season has ended in many leagues, but some people are still playing this week. Even more people have something on the line -- thanks to the recent explosion of daily streaming leagues, Week 17 isn’t quite the fantasy afterthought it used to be. Even if you lost your standard league championship, you can always jump on FanDuel and try your hand at a single-week prize.

With that in mind, here are four quarterbacks who have a chance to help you in the final game of the regular season. All four players are owned in less than 50 percent of Yahoo! leagues.

Robert Griffin III, Washington (39 percent) -- RGIII returned under center after Colt McCoy went down with a neck injury. He looked somewhat like his old self in Week 16, completing 16-of-23 passes for 220 yards in an upset win over the Philadelphia Eagles. Griffin's stats don't pop, but he looked comfortable in Jay Gruden's offense, enough so that the team confirmed both guys will return in 2015. Washington finishes 2014 against a Dallas Cowboys' defense that could pull its starters, making Griffin an attractive streaming option.

Teddy Bridgewater, Minnesota Vikings (11 percent) -- Bridgewater continued his steady week-to-week progress and truly does look like the best rookie quarterback of 2014. He completed 19-of-26 passes for 259 yards, two touchdowns and an interception against the Miami Dolphins. Bridgewater now gets a matchup with the Chicago Bears, who checked out on the season weeks ago. He'll be a low-end QB1.

Derek Carr, Oakland Raiders (8 percent) -- Carr is still going through his rookie struggles, but he did enough to get the win over the Buffalo Bills. Despite completing just 50 percent of his passes, he still threw for two touchdowns and 214 yards, while avoiding an interceptions for the third week in a row. Carr is still checking down too much and has no weapons to speak of, but he looks like someone you can build a team around. He'll finish the season against a Denver Broncos team that will likely be resting starters.

Case Keenum, Houston Texans (1 percent) -- The stats don't look pretty -- 20-of-42 passing, 185 yards, no touchdowns, one interception -- but Keenum did a decent enough job being thrust into starting just one week after being signed off the St. Louis Rams' practice squad. The Texans can still make the playoffs with a win and some help, so they'll be trying 100 percent in the regular season finale. With a full week of first-team practice reps, Keenum has some QB2 appeal against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
