Bills-Broncos fantasy projections 2014: Sammy Watkins, Fred Jackson, C. J. Anderson are on the radar

The Week 14 matchup between the Buffalo Bills and the Denver Broncos features a pretty good defense against a really good offense. We've got the fantasy projections for you courtesy of numberFire.

Wide receiver Sammy Watkins remained limited at practice due to a hip injury, but he is still expected to play against the Broncos and should be with good reason. While the Broncos will likely aim to put up a lot of points on the board, somebody in the Bills' passing game will have to do the same to keep up. That means Watkins will be in for one busy Sunday this week and fantasy owners stand to benefit greatly as a result.

The other offensive weapon that will have to fight to give the Bills a chance on Sunday is quarterback Kyle Orton. While nobody would compare him to the Broncos' Peyton Manning, he is capable of holding his own in a shootout, so no one should be surprised if he actually manages to put together a decent stat line this week. Orton was admittedly bad last week against the Browns, but Week 14 could see him rebound a bit.

Buffalo gives out the second fewest amount of fantasy points to quarterbacks at this point in the season. Normally that would be a bit concerning for most opposing quarterbacks, but when you're Peyton Manning it's just another Sunday. While he didn't have a huge performance against the Kansas City Chiefs last week, Manning did enough to move the chains when the running game couldn't and the Broncos still managed to cruise to victory. Last week was the first time this season he was held to less than 200 passing yards, so fantasy owners can be presume Manning should eclipse last week's numbers when the team hosts the Bills this week.

Of course one reason for his low totals in the passing yardage column has to do with teammate and running back C.J. Anderson. Anderson has a whopping 59 carries in the last two weeks and while both amount of touches can seem alarming, the Broncos are giving them to Anderson with good reason. It's because he's racking up a truckload of yards, particularly in the last two weeks. He has 335 over that stretch to be exact, and while Buffalo does have a really good run defense and his production inevitably has to come down a little bit, there is no reason fantasy owners shouldn't ride the hot hand in this situation. Anderson could be in for another great week.
