Colts-Browns fantasy projections, Week 14: T.Y. hilton Isaiah Crowell, Josh Gordon

The Week 14 matchup between the Indianapolis Colts and Cleveland Browns features two teams with timeshare situations in the backfield. We've got the fantasy projections for you, courtesy of numberFire.

Although running back Trent Richardson doesn't appear to be turning elite anytime soon, coach Chuck Pagano is seemingly giving him the benefit of the doubt and continuing to give him carries even though Dan Herron is beginning to prove his value in the absence of Ahmad Bradshaw. It would seem if any back in the Colts' running game were to exceed his fantasy projections this week, it would have to be Herron. Fantasy owners can at least start him knowing that he has the most upside moving forward, although both may be a gamble this week against Cleveland.

Of course the truth is the Colts' offense begins and ends with quarterback Andrew Luck. While he had cooled off a bit following the team's Week 10 bye, Luck demonstrated there was no reason for fantasy owners to be concerned against Washington last week. He promptly went out and threw for 370 yards and five touchdown passes in the game. While an equally big performance isn't as likely against a better defense like the one in Cleveland, Luck has enough talent to blow up the scoreboard on any given Sunday.

Running back Isaiah Crowell (hip) has been limited in practice all week although he is listed as questionable, Crowell is still expected to start against the Colts. His fantasy production has a ceiling on it because of teammate Terrance West still being involved, but it's clear this point coach Mike Pettine prefers to give Crowell more work, which makes him more likely to meet the expectations set out by his fantasy projections. The Indianapolis Colts have given up the seventh-most fantasy points to running backs this year.

No matter who is most effective at running back for the Browns, everybody knows who their biggest weapon is. That's wide receiver Josh Gordon. He admitted earlier this week he still doesn't have a full grasp of the team's playbook, but his talent and ability on the field is second to only a handful of elite receivers in the league -- which is why fantasy owners haven't noticed his weaknesses. Gordon will be the driving force who helps the Browns keep the Colts close in Week 14 and could very well blow his fantasy projections out of the water as a result.
