Steve Smith, Mike Wallace, Lamar Miller among notable fantasy options in Ravens-Dolphins

The Week 14 matchup between the Baltimore Ravens and the Miami Dolphins features two teams who win with rushing and defense. We've got the fantasy projections for you courtesy of numberFire.

If it wasn't for running back Justin Forsett, the Ravens might not have a running game at all. The veteran rusher has rushed for at least 100 yards in each of the last three weeks. Though he will be hard-pressed to repeat that feat against a tough Dolphins defense this week, Forsett It is definitely the engine that keeps his team's offense on the field. He should be able to surpass his projections just based on sheer volume this week, but he may not produce stats that single-handedly win fantasy owners their head-to-head matchups.

In terms of the passing game, the one player that needs to step things up as wide receiver is Steve Smith it's almost weird to say that after the way he started the season on fire, but let's face it, the Ravens haven't had a big-time passing game going all the way back to the days of Trent Dilfer winning Super Bowls. Nonetheless, the present day Ravens need Smith to put together a big game against a solid Miami secondary. He's risen to the challenge many times throughout his career, so nobody should be surprised if he exceeds his fantasy projections this week.

These days wide receiver Mike Wallace (chest) rarely gets his full share of reps in practice, so the fact he was limited on Thursday shouldn't stop him from starting against Baltimore. He caught six passes for 69 yards last week and while he didn't reach the end zone, fantasy owners should note that while he has only been held without a touchdown in two straight games this season just once, there's a good chance he might find his way to six points on Sunday.

While Wallace seems to score every other week, running back Lamar Miller can't necessarily give his fantasy owners that. He's done really well at times with teammate Knowshon Moreno (elbow) out for the year, but doing a touchdown dance in the end zone on a weekly basis is far from a guarantee these days. That said, Miller did score last week, and if he finds a way to make it two weeks in a row against Baltimore, he will definitely do better than his projected totals, at least in terms of the overall fantasy points he scores.
