Jamaal Charles, Andre Ellington, Jaron Brown among fantasy options to watch in Chiefs-Cardinals

Nobody has given up fewer fantasy points to running backs than the Arizona Cardinals. Normally that might be concerning for fantasy owners of Jamaal Charles, but he is still one of the best running backs in the game and capable of producing against any opponent. Add that to the fact that offensive coordinator Doug Pederson stated earlier this week that the Chiefs are going to feed Charles the ball as much as they can in the last few weeks of the season and there's no reason he won't be able to produce this week.

Through the passing game, the team's leader is none other than Alex Smith. Smith signed a new contract extension with the team around the start of the season and while he is a very good game manager, he is not much of a fantasy threat these days. Evidence of that is clear considering that he's thrown for less than 200 passing yards in three of the last four weeks. There's a good chance that with the stars the Cardinals have at the quarterback position, Smith will spend a lot of time watching Jamaal Charles in Week 14.

Running back Andre Ellington was officially labeled out for the game on Friday. That means quarterback Drew Stanton will really have to make something happen against Kansas City. There have been some suggestions in the media that the Cardinals should roll with Logan Thomas under center, so if Stanton is going to produce for fantasy owners, now would be as good time as any.

One player who is expected to return to the lineup for the Cardinals is wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald. Fitzgerald has missed the team's last two games with a knee injury. Although it seems these days that his prime years are well behind him, it's uncanny how efficient Fitzgerald is at nabbing targets for receptions. His ability to do so has allowed him to maintain relevance, especially in PPR leagues. If he doesn't go, it would be perfectly natural to assume that teammate Michael Floyd would be the biggest beneficiary in Week 14.
