In his first three games with Washington, quarterback Colt McCoy wasn't a superstar, but he acquitted himself well enough that the team felt comfortable making him the starter over the disappointing Robert Griffin III and Kirk Cousins. Sunday, though, that all fell apart, as McCoy couldn't get anything going in Washington's 24-0 loss to the St. Louis Rams.
Fantasy football waiver wire, Week 15: Colt McCoy falls flat
A week after a productive fantasy game, the Washington quarterback fell apart Sunday. We break down the fantasy implications.

McCoy completed 20 of his 32 pass attempts Sunday for 199 yards, with no touchdowns and two interceptions. He also ran the ball twice for 11 yards. Griffin finished the game at quarterback, completing 3-of-4 pass attempts for 33 yards.
Fantasy impact: Washington is a complete mess of a football team right now -- wide receiver DeSean Jackson was injured for this game; starting running back Alfred Morris rushed for six yards on eight attempts; the team was held scoreless -- and the quarterback situation is just another example of that. Griffin and Cousins both failed in their stints as starter (two stints for Griffin), and now McCoy is struggling as well.
There were probably some fantasy owners who invested in McCoy after his 26-point fantasy day against Indianapolis in Week 13, despite a long resume of struggles before that. Sunday’s game should cure that, even if McCoy holds onto the team’s starting job -- no sure thing at this point.
