Neither running back Arian Foster nor wide receiver Andre Johnson took part in Houston Texans team practice on Monday. Both are nursing hamstring injuries and working on individual drills, but head coach Bill O'Brien said he's hopeful the two can play in the team's second preseason game, according to the Houston Chronicle.
Arian Foster, Andre Johnson close to returning, injuries shouldn’t affect fantasy status
Arian Foster and Andre Johnson are getting close to returning to practice, and the Texans hope to have them back for the second preseason game. We break down the fantasy implications.

O'Brien said that the two are "doing better." If they're expected to take part in Saturday's preseason game against the Atlanta Falcons, though, one would expect both of them to return to practice sooner rather than later. Obviously, Johnson is one of the top receivers in the league and Foster is a strong veteran as well so this early practice time and preseason action isn't a huge deal for the pair, but it's always good to see them healthy and active.
Fantasy Impact: Johnson isn’t the type of veteran who necessarily needs practice time -- the 33-year-old is expected to be ready for Week 1 and should be a top fantasy asset again despite Houston’s mess of a quarterback situation.
Foster's situation is a little more dicey after playing just eight games last season. Andre Brown is a must-own handcuff if you decide to draft Foster.
