New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees hasn't been doing much in training camp due to a strained oblique he suffered in early August. Brees has been missing practice and isn't expected to play in Friday's preseason game against the Tennessee Titans.
Drew Brees missing practice with oblique injury, not believed to be fantasy worry yet
Brees has a lingering oblique injury and is considered “day to day.” We break down the fantasy implications.

Brees hasn't been completely out of action -- he threw passes to Kenny Stills on a separate practice field and head coach Sean Payton is calling him "day to day." Brees is expected to be ready for the regular season and probably doesn't need the training camp reps anyway. He hasn't missed a single game since the 2009 season.
Fantasy impact: The only real impact Brees' absence has will be on the backup quarterback competition. Ryan Griffin and Luke McCown are competing for the No. 2 spot, and Griffin appears to have the edge after an impressive performance in last week's preseason game.
Fantasy owners shouldn't worry about Brees right now. Unless the injury lingers into September, there's no reason to hit the panic button. Brees ranks No. 3 on SB Nation's quarterback rankings, behind Peyton Manning and Aaron Rodgers.
