The Dallas Cowboys will probably use DeMarco Murray as a bell-cow back this season. We break down the fantasy implications.

Murray has been a very effective back since entering the league in 2011. He’s had season averages of 5.5, 4.1 and 5.2 yards per carry, and has 2,681 rushing yards in three seasons. His biggest issue, though, is that he’s yet to play a complete season due to injuries. He played just 13 games in 2011, 10 games in 2012 and 14 games in 2013. Calling him a bell-cow means he’ll get a heavy workload, but could there be something to this committee talk?
Fantasy Impact: Reading between the lines, it sounds like the Cowboys want to ensure Murray doesn't get the football 300 times this year, but they will still treat him like a feature back. Guys like Lance Dunbar, Joseph Randle and Ryan Williams could all see more snaps than usual, but smart money is on Murray getting the lion's share of the touches. The only concern for fantasy owners, at this point, is his durability.
