Tennessee Titans running back Bishop Sankey looked solid in the team's preseason opener, and all eyes will be on him again when the team takes on the New Orleans Saints on Friday. Shonn Greene is the current starter, but after Ken Whisenhunt suggested that "experience" was the primary reason, most have felt that Sankey would be able to take over if he impresses throughout the preseason.
Bishop Sankey will get another chance to impress Friday; fantasy value hinges on starting battle
Bishop Sankey will get another opportunity to make his case for a starting role this season. We break down the fantasy implications.

On Friday, he’ll get another chance to do so. In his first preseason game, he carried the ball 13 times for 37 yards, but didn’t get much help from his offensive line. He impressed in the passing game, catching three passes for 38 yards and his first NFL touchdown. Greene, to his credit, ran the ball well, carrying four times for 20 yards and a touchdown.
Fantasy Impact: If Greene keeps the starting job, he doesn’t offer a whole lot to fantasy owners. There’s a chance he can post some solid touchdown numbers if the Titans effectively use him as a short-yardage back, but Sankey will be a much better play if he ends up earning the starting job in time for the regular season. Sankey simply has more tools in his arsenal. He’ll try to show off those tools on Friday.
