Fantasy Impact: Carey was said to have a lot of promise coming out of the draft, but to this point in training camp, he’s looked too small to be able to fight for extra yards when trapped in a pile. Furthermore, he’s been slow coming around the outside edges of the field.
His lack of ability to shine to this point gives the veteran Draughn the edge on carries behind Forte. That said, Draughn has never proved to be a reliable starter in all his time in the NFL, so there’s a good chance that if Casey doesn’t pick things up as the regular season draws near, the Bears may go out and sign another veteran back.
