The Seattle backfield situation continues to be murky behind Marshawn Lynch. We break down the fantasy implications.

Though Marshawn Lynch was active, he did not make an appearance on the stat sheet and it was instead Turbin who got most of the first-team reps. Turbin made the most of his chances, routinely ripping off big gains on early down work. Highly-touted running back Christine Michael instead served a change-of-pace role and appeared to be clearly third on the depth chart, but displayed competence while amassing 45 yards on eight carries.
Fantasy Spin: Michael has been drafted as one of the premier handcuffs in the league, and it’s entirely talent-based instead of situational. Fans are eager to see what the second-year back is capable of in an expanded role, but as of now, it’s hard to guarantee that he will get snaps ahead of Turbin. It’s still possible--perhaps probable--that Michael makes the leap, but it isn’t the case as of now.
In the later rounds, Michael still makes for a more attractive draft choice due to upside, but maybe not so much ahead of handcuffs with clearer roads ahead. Carlos Hyde, Knile Davis and Bernard Pierce should instead be considered at Michael's current 11th-round ADP.
